ZINIER INC ("ZINIER") respects your preferences concerning the treatment of personal information
that we may collect from your use of our apps, from your registration with one or more of our survey
panels, or from your participation in our surveys.
Because ZINIER is a professional service, we require certain personally identifying information
("PII") during the account setup process to establish your identity. Your name, email address,
occupation, employer, gender and age are all required to create a ZINIER account. Please note
that use of ZINIER is limited to individuals who are eighteen or older. The date of birth you
enter is used to verify if you are at least 18 years of age. If you're a parent or guardian and become
aware that your minor child is using our service, please contact email@example.com regarding the
removal of the account in question.The individual bits and pieces of your PII will not be shared with
Tools are available for members to change the PII they've shared via the ZINIER app. PII is stored
securely on restricted database servers. ZINIER may share anonymous aggregate information to our
customers in the form of metrics, etc.
If you use our Facebook app we may also collect the information you make public through your profile such as your name, date of birth, email address, and residence location.
However, you control what specific information is made public through your use of your Facebook privacy settings. We use the information we gather primarily to learn about the number and geographic location of people who use our apps and the technology used, to assist in developing changes to our apps, as well as for business planning purposes.
Each time you launch the ZINIER app, we collect your location information to best determine what Surveys to display to you. We may share this information on ZINIER.com in aggregate form so that potential customers may understand how our members use the service. If you apply to a Survey we will show the customer the city you are located in when you applied to the Survey. If you are accepted to do a Survey and perform the Survey for a ZINIER customer the customer will see the specific location where you performed their Survey.
To accept payment for the Surveys you performed ZINIER Influencers email address is shared with Stripe our payment provider. Please see Stripe Managed Account Terms for more information.
We will not make your personal information available to any other organizations or companies without
your express prior consent except as set forth below.
Our customers work with us to post Surveys - short-term paid opportunities. If you register for one of our survey panels, each registrant provides us with certain personal information such as their name, e-mail address, zip code and certain demographic and other information so that we can match their survey participation with different types of surveys.
When you undertake a Survey, the location information and work-product you collected and/or generated through answering questions and taking photos becomes the property of that customer. In addition to the content created during a Survey, we will share your location at the time you performed the Survey, your first name, last initial, your complete demographic information, your device’s unique identification information (UDID) as well as your IP address for security and verification reasons.
Transference of Services
If ZINIER or its assets are acquired, member information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party.
Registration information is available to ZINIER for use in future surveys conducted for ZINIER
clients or for its own studies. In no event, however, will ZINIER divulge your personally identifiable
information to any of our client organizations without your express prior consent, although we may
need to share anonymous AGGREGATE demographic information we obtain from you.
We do contract a third party vendor for the purpose of matching to public state voter databases. Voter information is used only for political and public policy research purposes and cannot be used for consumer research.
If you participate in our surveys, the information you provide will be used only for that study and will not be used for unrelated, non-research purposes such as direct marketing, non-consent list generation, credit rating, push polling, fund-raising or other intrusive marketing, fundraising or political activities. Unless you provide affirmative consent to allow yourself to be identified, your anonymity will be safeguarded.
Cookies are small text files or other forms of data which are stored on a computer by a website that assign a numerical user ID and stores certain information about the internet browsing activity of the user of a computer. ZINIER uses session and persistent cookies to make it easier for you to navigate ZINIER's apps, to provide a better experience for Survey participants, and for quality control and validation purposes. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your computer, indefinitely, until deleted by you. Personal Information is not stored or collected in the cookies used by ZINIER. You may disable and/or delete cookies via your browser and/or plug-in settings; however, this may: (1) decrease the functionality of the websites you visit; (2) limit your ability to use and view ZINIER's apps; and (3) limit your participation in Surveys.
Geographic Location (GPS) Tracking
When you use ZINIER's app, you will receive prior notice of and must give your consent before your
geographic location is used or shared. We monitor, collect and use your wireless geographic location
information obtained by our apps through your computer or mobile device, to provide you with
geographically focused survey opportunities from ZINIER and our clients and to maintain and improve our apps. The information you receive in connection with your use of ZINIER's app may include survey offers related to you and your specific geographic location. Please also be aware that persons with whom you share your computer or mobile device may log in to our apps and consent to our geographic location tracking of your computer or mobile device.
You can turn off the geographic location monitoring in the setting by disabling location services.
