Welcome to our Humans of Zinier series and meet the people building the new era of field service automation. Today, we’re meeting with Ojas Sharma, Technical Project Manager, who resides in Bangalore.
Tell us more about your role at Zinier?
As a Technical Project Manager at Zinier, my primary focus is on quarterly work planning within the Engineering team. This involves coordinating efforts to deliver the necessary features for our end customers. Additionally, I play a key role in optimizing release management and fine-tuning Jira configurations to ensure we achieve our desired outcomes.
What is your favorite quote or motto? Why?
My favorite quote is by Oscar Wilde: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." This quote resonates with me because I strongly believe that each person possesses a unique set of skills, priorities, and perspectives towards life. Despite being an introvert and sometimes feeling like I don't quite fit in, I've learned that it's essential to be comfortable with who you are rather than trying to conform to societal expectations.
Where is one place in the world you’d like to visit?
I've always dreamed of experiencing the electrifying atmosphere of a live Formula 1 race at Monza, Italy, famously known as "The Temple of Speed." The excitement and energy of the race in such a historic location would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
What’s a fun fact about you?
Well, here's a quirky one – I hate sleeping. It feels like I'm wasting seven to eight hours every day when I could be doing something more productive or enjoyable.
What is the most exciting aspect of your role at Zinier?
I get to tell (pester) people to complete their work in time as a Project Manager ;)
What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work that bring you joy and inspiration?
- Gaming & Playing Board Games.
- Watching Formula 1, English Premier League Football and Anime
- Traveling (as well as planning and researching for my travels)
Are there any unique skills or talents you possess that have been valuable in your role at Zinier?
Yes, I believe my organizational skills and ability to design efficient processes have been invaluable in my role at Zinier. Understanding the unique needs of people and tailoring solutions that fit them all is a key part of what I do as a Technical Project Manager.
